The Type Of Washing Machine You Need Based On Your Needs

When it comes to choosing a new washing machine, you really need to think about what you need. What you need will impact the type of washing machine that you should purchase.  

If You Have a Small Laundry Room

If you have a really small laundry room, you are going to want to go with a smaller washing machine that will be able to fit in the space without taking up the entire room. You are also going to want a washing machine that has a smaller door that will easily open without hitting up against the wall in your small laundry room. You are looking for a dryer that is compact and will not take up a lot of space.  

If Your Laundry Room Is On the 2nd or 3rd Floor

If your laundry room isn't in the basement, you want to make sure that the floor of the laundry room is well-supported. Washing machines are really heavy, and they vibrate when they operate as well. In addition, your laundry room may make some noise as well. 

You want to make sure you have a super supportive flooring wherever you have a laundry room located. Make sure that the floor is supportive and can handle the weight of the washing machine.  

If You Wash Lots of Clothing

The capacity of a washing machine varies greatly, with smaller washing machines being around 2.5 cubic feet, and larger washing machines more around 5.5 cubic feet. If you do a lot of loads of laundry, you are going to want a large capacity washing machine. A top-loader is great for really big loads. You should also look for washing machines with programmable settings that will make it easier for you to handle all the big loads that you need to take care of.  

If You Want to Save Energy

If you want to reduce your water and electricity use, you are going to want to look for an Energy Star model, which is made to use less energy than other types of washing machines. You may also want to invest in a front-loader, as they don't use as much water as a top-loading washing machine. Look for economy settings as well, which will help reduce water usage.

If You Need to Remove Tough Stains 

If you tend to have a lot of clothing that you need to clean that is stained, you are going to want to purchase a washing machine that is designed to fight tough stains. You want a washing machine that has a presoaking cycle, or one that has a steaming feature. Both of these features will help you clean clothing that is deeply stained. 

When it comes to what type of washing machine you need, you need to think about your special washing needs and purchase a machine that will meet those needs.
